ABC was founded in 2017 by a small group of stakeholders who recognized the need for affordable child care for elementary-aged students.

We provide three types of programming: ABC After School, Friday Programming, and ABC Summer Camp.

During our programming, students receive academic enrichment & homework help, Art/PE education, and healthy snacks & meals. We have three centers in Driggs, Victor, and Tetonia.

Staff

Hannah Mook

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

With a deep passion for ABC’s mission to provide high-quality, accessible out-of-school programs, Hannah brings over a decade of nonprofit experience, including two years serving on the ABC Board of Directors. Hannah’s background includes roles as Development Director at both Teton Science Schools and Friends of the Teton River. She has also taught various age groups in classrooms and outdoor settings across Jackson and Teton Valley. Hannah holds a BA from Middlebury College and an MBA from Green Mountain College. She lives in Driggs with her husband, two children, a dog, a cat, and twelve chickens. When she’s not working, she’s outside with her family—floating, biking, skiing, sledding - running with friends, or tending to her garden. Her experiences as a mom and active community member fuel her commitment to building programs that truly support all families in Teton Valley.

Ranetta Kinney

PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Ranetta Kinney is the Program Coordinator of ABC. With a background in preschool education, birth education and coaching, and program administration, Ranetta has spent the last 20 years working at various nonprofits, public schools, and private educational institutions in Minnesota, Colorado, Jackson, and Teton Valley. In the classroom, Ranetta works to create an environment where students feel loved, safe, supported, and welcome, and she believes that the best learning happens by doing. By engaging students in hands-on experiences and reflection, they can connect things they learn in the classroom to real-world situations. When not at ABC, Ranetta can be found outside with her 4 kids, baking or relaxing with her husband.

Jill Zohner (Johnston)

UPPER ELEMENTARY PROGRAM COORDINATOR & LEAD TEACHER

Jill is ABC's newest full-time employee but started her journey with the Teton Afterschool program ten years ago. She has served as a substitute teacher, paraprofessional, and librarian, and most recently, she served as the 21st Century/Teton Online School Instructor at Teton Middle School. One of her greatest passions is working with students and the children and parents of the ABC program, which brings her immense joy. During her free time, and depending on the incredible seasons of Teton Valley, Jill enjoys spending time skiing, hiking, paddleboarding, traveling, and watching football with her four adult children. As well as her nightly walks and snuggles with her dog, Toothpaste.

ABC Financials

ABC strives to keep program fees affordable for all Teton Valley families through a diverse funding strategy. A large portion of our funding comes from the annual Tin Cup Challenge, hosted by the Community Foundation of Teton Valley each summer.

ABC aims to maintain tuition fees below 30% of total funding to enhance accessibility and affordability for participants.

Families pay an average of $5 per day for after-school programs and $25 per day for summer camp.
