Above and Beyond the Classroom (ABC) is seeking dedicated community members to join our volunteer Board of Directors. Serving on the board is a meaningful way to support ABC’s academic, enrichment, and wellness programs for at‑risk children in a safe, supportive environment. Board members help guide long‑term goals, strengthen partnerships, and ensure ABC remains sustainable, inclusive, and rooted in the community.
Board Members are expected to attend at least 6 of 8 board and committee meetings each year, participate in 2 ABC community events, and remain engaged through weekly email communication. Board members serve a minimum two‑year term, bringing consistency and care to ABC’s mission.
Committee members - who do not need to be board members - are asked to attend as many committee meetings as possible and stay connected through ABC’s newsletters, social media updates, and periodic direct communication from the Executive Director or Board Members.
